Blind Selection Made Easy: How We Help You Choose the Right Fit for Your Space
Blinds can be an excellent choice for window treatments. There are so many options to
consider. What qualities are most important to you? Light control? Privacy? Moisture-
resistance? Ease of use? Motorization?
I help clients choose their ideal style by asking these questions to make sure their
needs are filled. An important question I always ask when it comes to blinds is, do you
find the need to tilt the light and control the light at the window or, is this a blind that you
will just operate by raising and lowering?
Option #1: Versatile & Beneficial Blinds
Some blinds to tilt or control the light are pictured below. Most versions are available
cordless, cordloop, wand or motorized with a remote.

Blinds that operate by raising and lowering usually are for a customer who may just
want to close the blind at night for privacy. Blinds such as these are pictured below.

Option #2 Motorized Blinds
Motorization has become a big component with blinds. They can be hard wired which is best for new builds. Rechargeable battery wands are also a great option that are not hard wired, the wands are wired to the shades. Each of these options use a remote or an app on your phone for raising, lowering and tilting the blind. Motorization is really a nice feature when you want to stay in your recliner and make the shades work to the position you would like them to be.

Option #3 Flexible Blinds for Patio Doors
Skyline Gliding window panels are good for sliding doors and large windows. They provide a clean, crisp and modern look for both large and small window expanses. They stack to one side or they can be a split draw when opened and when they are closed they display rich fabrics and textures.

I can help clients decide what type of blind to put in the area of their home they are
working on. Blinds are available in so many options and numerous textures and opacities for everyones needs. If you’re ready for a professional to design blinds for some or all of your windows, let’s
talk! I’d be delighted to help.
Until next time,
